10-24-06 - DAY 63
Mom & Dad came to see me I slept almost the whole visit, the nurse Erica says I weigh about 2 pounds 9.5 ounces. But I haven't poohed in 3 days. I'm getting bigger and bigger. I have a bigger PDA so the doctors will talk about what to do next, they may do a small surgery to put a clip on it, that should fix the problem if it doesn't go away on it's own. Until now my PDA was fixing itself.
10-25-06 - DAY 64 | Wednesday
I'm on 22-24% ox. Thier thinking about giving me a drug to fix my PDA. It may or may not work they say because i'm older than the babies they normally give it to. The option would be surgery & that's just a clamp and would fix the problem for sure. Either way I'll be just fine.
10-26-06 - DAY 65
They started giving me the medicine. This should close the valve in my heart. I can't eat while i'm on it but they give my fluids. So I guess this binki will have to do.
10-27-06 - DAY 66
Hello i'm still getting my medication for the PDA so i'm pretty squirmy at night and sleep all day. I'm not being feed today while on the meds. My two favorite nurse are taking care of me Stacey & Maria. They give me my pacifier.
I'm 2 pounds 10 ounces.
10-28-06 - DAY 67
My Mom came by early to drop off some milk. They started my feeds again hurray "I can eat". By the end of the night I weighed 2 pounds 11 ounces. Stacey waited to give me a bath until mom and dad came so they could take pictures. Here they go. (The bath was okay but i didn't like being washed w/the wash cloth) I'm getting to be a big girl.
10-29-06 - DAY 68 | Sunday
I started getting that bad ol medicine again so there not feeding me for the rest of the day until tomorrow 6 pm. Mommy hates it that I don't eat. But it's so the medicine will work. She looks so sad. Me. I can't keep still.
Mommy and Daddy both held me I soon fell off to sleep.
10-30-06 - DAY 69
Today is monday i'm doing fine. They will be feeding me again starting around 6pm. Thank Goodness, then they'll check to see if the med's did the job. i'm still about 2 pounds 10 ounces. Keep praying for me.
10-31-06 - DAY 70 | Tuesday
Praise God. Mommy & Daddy got the good news. The medicine worked. My PDA is closed. This will only be checked if I develop breathing problems from this point. They winging me off the oxygen. Next is room air." (No tubes in or around my nose) Mommy and Daddy held me after they finished my eye exam. The nurse told Mom & Dad that they wouldn't want to see me get it done. But i'm real brave, I hardly swirmed. :) I feel asleep when my parents held me.
11-01-06 - DAY 71
I breast feed for the 1st time. I latched on very well for the 1st time. The nurse says they'll start bottle feeding me too. They leave my tube in so all my feeds aren't from the bottle. You can really tire yourself with all that sucking.
10-28-06 - DAY 67
My feeds went up to 23cc's, Mommy and Daddy didn't ask my weight tonight but I'm about 3 pounds.
They took tube out of my mouth and thier using a smaller one in my nose.
11-03-06 - DAY 73 | Friday
I've been bottle feeding and doing very well. I'm am 3 pounds 1 ounce. Everything is fine. I'll prob be home in another month. Maria says a hogged down my bottle.
11-04-06 - DAY 74
Paragraph.Mommy and Daddy came early and held me. Mom brought lots of milk, yum.
They told Grandma and Grandpa how big I was, they were so excited. My hair is growing I'll try and let Mom get a close up.
11-05-06 - DAY 75 | Sunday
Daddy loves sitting and holding me.
When he lays me on his chest it so easy for me to fall off to sleep.
11-06-06 - DAY 76
Mom Came on the day shift. She had a root canal done, but she seemed fine to me. She held me then waited for Dad to come. What fun. I'm doing just fine. I weigh 3 pounds 3 ounces today. Oh yeah did you notice I'm wearing clothes.
11-07-06 - DAY 77
Mom and Dad came early. They stayed until Dad could bottle feed me. Dad fed me very well for the 1st time. He also changed my diaper & took my temperature. I'm 3 pounds 4 ounces. No camera today. Thank goodness.
11-08-06 - DAY 78
Today was the last day for Stacey, I'm going to miss her taking care of me. She would steal snuggles from me while Mom and Dad were gone. I know they'll miss her too. Thank you Stacey for my out fits :) Everyone is saying how cute I am. I know youll come and visit me.
11-09-06 - DAY 79 | Thursday
Mommy and Daddy came to see me, they both held me and soon I fell off to sleep. My nurse was a guy tonight. He buddled me really tight. I'm 3 pounds 6 ounces. Finally they took out that nagging feeding tube in my nose tonight,. Next thing you know i'll have no tubes at all.
11-10-06 - DAY 80
I'm 3 pounds 7 ounces today. I'm still on my nasalcanula. I'm doing well with the bottle feeding. I still get a caffine suppliment like all the other babies.
My nurse bought me an outfit. Do you like it? I've been getting compliments all day.
11-11-06 - DAY 81
I'm 3 pound 9 ounces. There not going to be able to keep me here for much longer :) if I keep growing like this. My due date is December 13th. Originally this was my expected release date if everything goes perfectly well. Well There still no true word on a date but - well see. I have a feeling I'll get home before that. My premie clothes fit pretty good huh.
11-12-06 - DAY 82 | Sunday
Don't you like my pink. I mean really is there any other color? I'm 3 pounds 10 ounces. Mom still pumps for milk but she can't keep up with me. So I only get it every now and then.

Momy caught me with my eyes open sucking my thumb. I really know how to do it now.

'm almost 4 pounds. I'm 3 pounds 13 ounces...
I'm still small but as you can see I'm growing everyday. I'm on and off of the nasalcanula. The oxygen. Their working on weining me off of that too. When I go home I'll probably have a monitor :). Mommy fed me, I was wrapped up and warm so of course I fell to sleep. But I took about 38 cc's of formula.

Mom and Daddy didn't come to see me I know there preparing for me :). There was no baby shower because I came so un-expectantly. So they are getting thing together for when I come home.
11-19-06 - DAY 89 | Sunday
I'm 4 pounds today. Hurray!
Mommy and Daddy will be taking me home soon because i'm doing well. My eye test came back its the same I have a little premature eye disease but its not bad enough for survey now. I'll probably come home on a monitor and oxygen.
11-20-06 - DAY 89
I'm 4 pounds 1.5 ounces. I'm doing pretty good. Continue to pray for me. When Mommy and Daddy takes me home they'll have plenty to do. I have follow up visits, what fun :(. I'm going to miss all my wonderful nurses, they take real good care of me.
11-21-06 - DAY 90 | Tuesday
Mom & Dad came late to see me. They feed me and talked to the nurses.
Mommy was suppose to get her teeth fixed before I came home but they were so busy they had to reschedule her. She was pretty upset because she knows i'm coming home soon, so she had been planning. Looks like I'll go home on oxygen because I need just a little,little bit. But i'm fine.
11-22-06 - DAY 91 | Wednesday
Mom and Dad stayed the night for the 1st time, I got to sleep in the room with them. It was very toasty in that room. Mommy was afraid she wouldn't here me since I don't cry that loud (really I just whine), but who would have known she gets right up to check on me. Lue came in to check on us every 3 hours.
11-23-06 - DAY 92| Thursday *Thanksgiving* I came home!
Happy Thanksgiving all.... Mom & Dad stayed with me tonight. They did pretty good. I eat every 3 hours & they took turns. I could tell they were busy talking to the nurses, doctors and such but they still seemed cool calm and collect. I'll miss my nurses but I know they will check up on me. I'm 4 pounds 4 ounces today. The next time you see me I'll be a big girl :). Thanks for checking up on me everyday. Thanks for caring sooo much. Thanks you for your prayer. I must say I'm a miracle baby, God made me strong & created me in his image.
Thank every one of you that extended a hand, a hug, a heartfelt word of encouragement to my Mom & Dad. It wasn't easy for them but they made it through this journey with me. Thanks for being their for me Mom & Dad.
